Join us for VIU Fest Saturday October 24, noon to 4 pm to be entered to win tuition credit of up to $7,500 and $2,500 in VIU food credit to spend at VIU cafeterias for the 2027-28 academic year and the help of a creative team to tell some of your VIU story.
Who can enter
Any new student intending to start their first year of studies at VIU starting Fall 2027 in any academic or trades program.
How to enter
Attend VIU Fest and find a poster with a QR code. Scan it and enter your name on the form.

The story part of the contest
As part of the contest, we will share your story on the VIU blog and social media channels throughout your first year. We will work with you to shape the stories and make it a fun experience for you.
Who can win?
You must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada and beginning full-time studies at VIU in Fall 2027.

Yes, you absolutely can enter. For general VIU attendance entries, visit the info booth for help. At pop-up classes your instructor can help and at the Future Student Lounge, our friendly recruiters can help you.
This contest is only available to VIU Fest attendees. We are not offering other options for entry for this contest. We do have an online tuition credit contest for $2,500 in tuition for the 2027-28 academic year.
Current VIU students do not qualify for this contest. For help paying for school, be sure to complete your online student profile to ensure you’re eligible for awards and bursaries.
We do not allow transfer of the contest winnings. If the winner drawn is not planning to attend VIU in the 2027-28 academic year, we will redraw.
If you attend VIU Fest and enter, attend a pop-up class, visit the Future Student Loung and apply to VIU while you are there, you can earn a maximum of 4 entries.
The contest covers only first-year tuition. You cannot carry it over to next year.
If your tuition is more than $7,500, you will need to pay the difference.
The storytelling is part of the contest, but you get to choose how your story is told. We want to know about your VIU student experience, so you don’t have to share deeply personal details. Our team will work with you to ensure you’re happy with the story we tell.
